Regina Marathon Canoe Club COVID-19 Update
Hello all paddlers!
Boathouse Orientations – New Members
If you are new to the club please contact me directly with your preferred dates and times to meet me for orientation to the boathouse. At our orientation you will be assigned a key, combinations to the lockers and general review of equipment and procedures.
I am available to meet Monday to Friday 9AM to 6PM and can also meet over lunch.
COVID-19 Policy and Procedures
Our board of directors are working out the final details of our COVID-19 Policies and Procedures and once completed will be posted on our website. Stay tuned for the latest updates.
Equipment
All members must wipe down all club equipment before and after use. Members must utilize their personal cleaning products until the club implements a permanent onsite cleaning system.
Equipment – C1s
Members are authorized to utilize our C1s, SUPs and Kayaks.
Equipment – C2s
Until further notice, members may have two or more people in the same canoe only if they reside from the same household.
We will provide further updates on mixed-household paddlers when our policies and procedures are released.
Paddling in Groups
Members are authorized to paddle in groups of C1s and C2s as long as the group size does not exceed 10 people and boats are able to keep a social distance of 6 feet while on the water or in-transit from boathouse to on-water.
PFDs (Personal Flotation Devices)
Members are asked to wear their own PFD’s. Club PFD’s are not available for use.
Programming
Formal programming is suspended until May 15th. We anticipate releasing our programming in late May and June utilizing our COVID-19 Policies and Procedures.
