Our club is a not-for-profit canoe sports organization that promotes life-long canoeing opportunities for recreational, fitness and competitive athletes.
Members have access (at their leisure) to our Wascana Marina Boathouse and Merv Woods Boathouse (Lumsden) from May to November. Our boathouses feature recreational (stock) and competitive (pro) canoes, PFDs and paddles. We also have a limited supply of kayaks and stand-up paddle boards. View the outdoor schedule to confirm availability. All members must complete the in-person orientation at the boathouse before being assigned permission to access.
A portion of your membership fee is forwarded to Canoe Kayak Saskatchewan and Canoe Kayak Canada. These fees are collects for insurance, administrative and other benefits provided by these organizations to the Marathon Canoeing clubs in Saskatchewan and Canada. As of 2023, the Canoe Kayak Saskatchewan per member fee is $20 ($10 prior to 2023) and the Canoe Kayak Canada per member fee is $15 ($10 prior to 2023).
Members also receive the benefit of participating in canoe programming. Programming is free to members. Starting in May and ending in July, these events will be primarily during the week in the evenings with special events occurring on the weekends. View the outdoor schedule and Membership Canoe Programs page for more information.
Equipment is not available for rent or use by non-members and shall remain at their respective locations for member use. Equipment may be transported between locations for special weekend events that are organized by appointed club officials or volunteers. Members are welcome to bring guests who may be interested in joining the club for one (1) complementary program and/or two (2) private paddle sessions.
The Wascana Marina boathouse is shared in-trust with Regina Catholic Schools, Regina Public Schools and University of Regina. We are granted to use the Wascana Marina boathouse by the Saskatchewan Provincial Capital Commission.
