Canoe Kayak Saskatchewan Newsletter is out of Hibernation!

by Scott Brunskill

Canoe Kayak Saskatchewan has brought our newsletter out of hibernation and are asking for your help. We are holding a contest to encourage people to head to our website and subscribe. Could you please sign up, if you haven’t already, and encourage your members to do the same! This is also being promoted on our social media platforms and would encourage all members to ensure that they follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter if they are users, as we share lots of valuable information this way.

The registration for our newsletter can be done at www.canoekayaksask.ca.  We will draw for a CKS prize pack at 250, 500, 750 and 1000 subscriptions. I have attached a picture of the items included in our prize package. When we reach 1000 subscribers the prize package will include a learn to kayak lesson at the CKS member club of the winners choice, for 2, to be paid by our organization!

We really appreciate your help!

Fuelling Women Champions unveils $100K grant program for female amateur sport

Recognize the female athletes in your community

The Champions Fund was created by Canada’s dairy farmers to empower the female athletic community, to provide a resource that can help change the game for Canada’s young girls and women athletes.

How the Champions Fund works

The 2016 Champions Fund will award $5,000 grants to 20 deserving female athletes, teams, or organizations, providing the financial support needed to pursue their athletic goals.

Anyone from Canada’s female athletic community aged 13 and older can apply, or apply on behalf of their team, tournament, camp or program.

To apply for the Champions Fund, simply create a profile, and answer a few questions about your passion for Canadian female athletics. From there, you can share your profile on social media.

Our Champions Fund selection committee will review the applications and decide on the 20 most-deserving grant recipients.

The deadline for submissions is September 29th, 2016. This year’s 20 grant recipients will be announced in November 2016. Good luck!
